Pumpernickel is a large, wooden rocking horse with an English dapple grey finish. His body is hand-carved from poplar (tulip wood) and his stand from ash. His saddle is made from top-quality vegetable tanned leather with solid brass fittings, and his mane and tail are made from real horse hair.
Like all our horses, Pumpernickel was hand-carved and painted by James Hignett in our bespoke workshop in Kempston, Bedfordshire. James draws on more than a century of family expertise and tradition to craft his horses.
Pumpernickel is a unique gift your family will treasure for generations.
